Content strategy as a discipline has been gathering momentum in the web community for some time now. Some institutions are probably already implementing some level of content strategy, but I thought it might be useful to look at what's involved and share some of the activities we've been working on. In my organisation we've been looking at:
- developing message architectures
- web audits and content inventories
- user tasks, personae development
- editorial calendar
- publishing processes and governance
- building support internally (selling the content message)
- Information Architecture, meta data
- How your CMS should support not hinder your content strategy
- Useful resources and events.
Happy to double up with someone if they've been making strides in this area.

Many of the items listed feature on my list of things to do/implement, but it'd be great to learn how people are actually doing these things. Love to bring back ways to implement.
The idea I posted on Web Governance will cross-over with content strategy at several points. Happy to discuss sharing ?
